Out of all the major holidays, Thanksgiving is the one that revolves around food the most. After all, what better way is there to celebrate what we’re thankful for than by gathering around a table with friends and family and digging into a huge feast?

The main part of the Thanksgiving meal is all well and good (depending on whether you love turkey or not), but for us, Thanksgiving dinner isn’t Thanksgiving dinner without Thanksgiving dessert!

What Desserts Do You Eat on Thanksgiving?

We all know the classic Thanksgiving desserts – pumpkin pieapple pie, maybe sweet potato pie in the South. If we’re lucky, they come from a local bakery, but, more often than not, they’re afterthoughts picked up from the supermarket along with the boxed stuffing mix and canned cranberry sauce. And that’s a shame!

America’s best autumn pies, cakes, and more desserts are shipping straight to your door in time for Thanksgiving. These come straight from some of the most beloved bakeries and pastry chefs in America, and they’re going to knock your guests’ socks off!

It’s then poured into a flaky old-fashioned pie crust and topped with a generous layer of pecans dusted with brown sugar and cinnamon.

The Village Bakery’s Mountain Apple Stack Cake

Apple Stack Cakes were originally used as wedding cakes in the Appalachian Mountains. Each invited family would bake a layer of the cake, adding it to the base as they arrived on the day of the wedding with the bride’s family providing the filling. Using an old family recipe, The Village Bakery uses 100% Tennessee green apples from orchards located only a few miles from the Smoky Mountains to make their classic Apple Stack Cake. They hand peel, slice, and cook the apples, spicing them with traditional Appalachian spices before spreading them between the numerous layers of moist cake.
