Just in time for National Breakfast Month, Challenge Butter has released a survey highlighting the average person’s breakfast habits, practices and preferences for National Breakfast Month.
The multifaceted survey was made up of 1,000 respondents who shared their own breakfast likes and habits. And over 80% of people will eat breakfast for dinner, the survey found.
“Whether it’s the indulgence of pancakes on a Sunday morning or the creativity of transforming leftovers into a delicious frittata, Challenge can elevate every bite.” said Priya Kumar, VP of Marketing at Challenge Dairy.
The survey also shows that nearly 100% of people sometimes or always cook breakfast at home rather than eating out or utilizing grab-and-go options. Non-conventional eating habits are the norm for 86% of respondents who eat breakfast for dinner. Seventy-six percent of respondents also claim to eat leftovers for breakfast, highlighting the versatility of a good meal.
Just over 43% of survey respondents say their favorite weekend breakfast is eggs or an omelet, with the other 44% preferring sweeter tastes such as pancakes and waffles. Though 12% of respondents cited yogurt as their favorite breakfast on the weekend, the remaining respondents had answers varying from savory dishes such as biscuits and gravy to bacon, sausage, steak and eggs.
