If you know a book lover and you’re looking for a creative way to gift some titles you think they’ll love, why not try making a bouquet with books? This unique DIY project is a great way to showcase your love for literature and add some personality. Here’s how to make a beautiful book bouquet with some of our favorite picks courtesy of our friends at Reese’s Book Club.
Step 1: Choose Your Books
The first step is to choose the books you want to use in your bouquet. You can use new or used books, but it’s important to make sure they are in good condition and can be easily held together. Choose books with interesting covers or spines that will add visual interest to your bouquet.
Step 2: Get Your Gear
Make sure you have some floral wrapping paper (you can buy some on Amazon), ribbon, scotch tape, and wooden sticks to give your books some support. Last but not least, make sure you have fresh florals on hand.
Step 3: Add Some Support
You can either wrap your books in cellophane before taping down the wooden sticks for support, or depending on the cover, simply tape the wooden sticks to the back of the books. We added a few to give some length and make sure they were fairly stable in the bouquet itself.
Step 4: Form Your Bouquet Base
Place floral wrapping paper down on a smooth surface and set your books down almost in a pyramid.
Step 5: Fill in the Florals
Take some of your florals and start placing the big blooms around the books. We slipped in greenery and filler stems behind the books.
Step 6: Add a Finishing Touch
Wrap it all up and tie it with a ribbon and be ready to gift it immediately!
