This pinball wizardry is totally hypnotic

You know, it would be so easy to do the obvious thing here. I really want to and I don’t think I can help it.

Oh, no. It’s happening…

“Ever since I was a young boy I played the silver ball. From Soho down to Brighton I must have played them all, but I ain’t seen nothing like this in any amusement hall” … Steve Muller’s trip to the Michigan Pinball Expo, sure featured a stuck pinball.

I can’t believe I caved. Go on save yourselves. It’s clearly too late for me.

But it’s definitely never too late to enjoy a little “beneficial malfunction” in your pinball game, or in Muller’s.

OK, so here’s the story: Muller was just a fresh-faced 24-year-old when he went to the Michigan Pinball Expo in 2014. He thought he’d get in some exhibits, maybe a game or two, but what he actually ended up doing was something he would remember as special for the rest of his life.

His ball got stuck between a bumper and a kicker, bouncing back and forth and racking up points with every strike. Sadly for Muller, it was a low point generating bumper and thus no high score was attained, but it’s still pretty wicked. Fortunately for us, Muller pulled out his phone and recorded it.

The beneficial malfunction lasted about 30 seconds before something broke and sent the ball shooting towards freedom, but in Steve’s heart, we know that ball is still bouncing.

Pinball on, Steve. Pinball on.
