Here’s where to find the cheapest rent in America

Many Americans are looking for cheaper rent now that so many of us are no longer tethered to physical offices in expensive cities. With many companies continuing to expand remote operations, there’s a chance we could see continued migration of workers to less-expensive towns, suburbs.and even rural locations. With more workers in search of cheaper rent and bigger homes, we took a look at a recent report from Rent.com to see where the cheapest rents in the country are.

Methodology

Rent.com recently studied an inventory of rental units from 109 cities across the country and.ranked them based on things like population size and average rent prices for different sized apartments. The full methodology is here.
