Would you spend over $400 to make a fancy McRib? Well, the YouTube Channel Mythical Kitchen did for their series “Fancy Fast Food!”

Chef Josh Scherer and his team at Mythical Kitchen take popular fast food items and recreate them using fancy and, of course, rather pricey ingredients. At the end of the episode, they determine if the price was worth the “fancier” taste. Spoiler: Sometimes, it’s not!

So if you’re wondering if you should splurge on making your own $374 version of Panda Express’s orange chicken, look no further than this list of all the Mythical Kitchen’s fancy fast food experiments they’ve posted on their channel as of January 2022.

We’ll start with their oldest concoction, the McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish, and work up to their newest, the KFC pot pie.

Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust Pizza

The Fancy Price

  • Fancy Price: $420.17
  • Was it worth it?: Eh, depends. There wasn’t a clear winner on this one, with the Mythical Kitchen deciding they were just too different to compare. But Mythical art director, Lucas Strader, who guest starred on the episode, hated the truffles on the fancy pizza, so maybe there was a non-official winner, after all …
