Elections, Liberals, and Conservatives, Oh My!
The US presidential election, with Kamala Harris replacing Biden as the Democratic candidate running against the Republicans’ Trump in a last-minute move, is well underway. The Chicago debates may be over, but given that the US is a capitalistic country, it’s no surprise that brands ranging from airplanes to nonprofits are still getting political.
YouGov recently released an extensive report breaking down which brands liberals and conservatives favor for cars, charities, beers, and even insurance. But the report also gives the top 10 brands that conservatives prefer vs. what their liberal counterparts prefer. Below, we’ve broken down YouGov’s findings so you can see the top brands conservatives view positively vs. how liberals feel about those brands, as well as top brands liberals view positively vs. how conservatives think about those brands.
Methodology
Impression: YouGov defines an impression as “whether a consumer has a positive or negative impression of a brand. Net score reflects positive minus negative responses.
Must be tracked 183 days to rank.”
